Technology

Cutthroat Carbon Fork: Designed for multi-surface rides, the Cutthroat Carbon fork combines trail-taming compliance with abrasion-resistant plates in high-wear areas, ensuring durability in unpredictable conditions.

Class 5 VRS: This vibration reduction system features vertically-oriented seatstays for vertical compliance and horizontally-oriented chainstays for lateral stiffness. The lack of bridges in the seatstays and chainstays allows maximum flexibility. A rear thru-axle ensures precise tracking and incredible compliance for impacts.

Interior Junction Control Mold Technology: Interior molds used during layup and curing ensure precise wall thickness, smooth inner walls, and minimal voids or wrinkles. The result is a high-performance carbon frame with consistent strength and quality.

Cutthroat Geometry: Drop bar mountain bike geometry with a 69° head tube angle and 445 mm chainstays delivers supreme stability for endurance riding. Optimized for Salsa Cowchipper or Woodchipper Bars.

Tour Divide-Inspired Features: Designed for maximum frame bag volume, with room for three bottles (54 - 60 cm frames) or two bottles (52 cm frames). Features a top tube bag mount, two Three-Pack mounts on the fork, and internal wire routing for dynamo hub lighting systems.

Massive Tire and Mud Clearance: Fits up to 29 x 3.0" tires in the front and 29 x 2.4" in the rear, plus clearance for mud encountered during endurance races.

Road Boost Drivetrain: 2x mechanical-compatible with Race Face mountain boost cranks and Easton direct-mount chainrings (max 50/34t, complete bikes ship with 46/30t). Features a road drivetrain elsewhere.

Direct-Mount Frame Pack Compatible: Custom frame bags can be bolted directly to the frame using EXP Series Direct Mount Thumb Screws for tool-free installation.

Multiple Bottle and Cargo-Carrying Options: Holds four bottles (52 cm frames) or five bottles (54 - 60 cm frames) with Three-Pack mounts on the fork. Features mounts for the EXP Series Top Tube Bag, accessory mounts under the downtube, and compatibility with front and rear racks for ample cargo options.

Rear Rack Compatible: Supports the Salsa Wanderlust Rack with Salsa Rack-Lock seatpost collar. Salsa Bent Rack Struts required for 58 cm and 60 cm frames. Not compatible with the Wanderlust HD Rack.
